The post and chain barrier system is used to restrict access to hazardous areas and for crowd management. It is especially useful for spaces undergoing maintenance work and controls pedestrian and vehicle access. Wherever roof access is required for maintenance, it is ideal to use a chain barrier for safe passage and to prevent accidental falls. The chain barrier is a protective solution used in a variety of situations, especially in environments where hazardous events are likely to occur, such as on construction sites, warehouses, car parks and more. The post and chain barrier system are also ideal for social distancing within a workplace.

Advantages Of Using a Post and Chain Barrier System

Designed with recycled car tyres as the base, a chain barrier can withstand wind speeds of up to 105mph, making it a practical, sturdy and safe barrier for both indoor and outdoor use. Installation is fast and easy, with four integrated chain links on the head cap, to which the chain is connected for single-line connections and grid connections for larger areas. The Chain Barrier system can be used to cordon off areas quickly, providing safety and also preventing major accidents from taking place.

What Are Ladder Tags and Scaffolding Tags?

Ladder tag holder and scaffolding tags are safety inspection signs that are fixed to a ladder or other machinery and equipment to indicate whether it is safe to use or not and therefore prevent accidents. Ladder tags are also used to maintain ladder inspection records and to make sure inspection procedures are kept up to date. The tags consist of a holder that is permanently fitted to the equipment along with inserts to write on. Ladder and Scaff tag holders can be purchased as individual components or as ladder tag kits and scaffolding tag kits that have both the holder and inserts. Ladder tag holder are sturdy, as they are made with weather proof plastic. Ladder tags are securely fixed to a ladder and remain there till the ladder is no longer required. Inspection inserts are then slotted inside the holder, which have bold coloured designs for easy visibility. All scaffolding and ladder tags should meet the Safety Installer & Safety Inspection & Testing standard, that requires tag holders to be weather proof and UV resistant so that the safety-critical information contained within does not get damaged.

Safety is a priority at any workplace, this is when chain barriers and ladder tags are essential to keep workers safe at construction sites. To prevent accidental falls or other untoward incidents at industrial sites, especially where heavy equipment and machinery are being used regularly, it is important to use chain barriers and ladder tag holder. Now that social distancing has become the norm of the day; chain barrier systems have become mandatory to control the flow of pedestrian traffic, especially at hotels, airports, malls and other such establishments.
